This is a cool YA fiction following the adventures of it's young hero Ryan as he comes to understand how his world has changed forever, and the new powers he must learn to use. The book is very easy to read, and is great for it's targeted audience, and at $0.99 it's well priced because the story line is great, and the writing is clear and magnetic. Best read yet. Haven't read anything like it. Really gripped my atention. Really exiting. He really knows how to make an intresting story.Really loved it. hope you do to. I gave this book five stars.
This is a must have for any reader that likes to go on a mystical adventure. I could not put the book down until I finished it. it keeps your interest from the start with alot of suspense. I can't wait till the next book comes out. over the years I have read alot of childrens books and I have to say that this book has a delightful, surprising story line.
If you had the opportunity to help some friends rescue a young boy, especially if that boy turned into a werewolf cub at night, would you?
In Gary Pattigrew's fantasy novel, Moonglow Avenue, the main characters do just that. Ryan, his sister Nicole and their friends, Jasmine and Billy, don't hesitate to help the new and unconventional friends they have made on Moonglow Avenue. After unknowingly stepping through a portal and entering the unusual neighborhood of Moonglow Avenue, the children leave their "normal neighborhood" behind and enter into a world with vampires, werewolf, witches, and ghosts. However, the greatest threat to the children come from mortal men back in their "normal world".
As the children attempt to rescue the werewolf cub, the children's characters and talents develop. Ryan must take on the position of leadership in the group of friends. Jasmine needs to improve control of her "powers". The younger two, Nicole and Billy, help in their own way - through their curiosity and the friendships they make along Moonglow Avenue.
Readers will relate to the fears, worries, curiosity, and varying degrees of courage shown by the four main characters in this story.
For readers who enjoy magic, fantasy and "unusual goings on", they will find this book a delight and exciting. The book captures one's attention. From the time the children step onto Moonglow Avenue all the way to the end of the book, I kept turning the pages to see what happened next. I can imagine that the future series might include the children's characters and powers developing even further, as they become involved in new adventures.
I was looking for a story to pass the time on vacation. This story had interesting characters and would be a good read for anyone who enjoyed the Harry Potter series.
This is a good book for fantasy readers. It kept me interested and I will search out books by this author. Definitely worth the price
